Before starting, a readiness assessment will help to ensure that your company has the necessary 'building blocks' and 'appetite' for Behavioral Safety.     Employees must want to prevent injuries. They must also want to be involved in the Behavioral Safety process by participating in the design, development and execution of the process and be motivated to do what ever it takes to make the process work'.

The Assessment Process
The assessment initally involves 'briefing' people about Behavioral Safety and what it means to them. A Readiness Assessment Survey is then distributed to identify any problems people foresee. Based on the responses, a representative sample of personnel are interviewed to examine whether the supportive infrastructures for Behavioral Safety are optimal and sustainable. We also review historical safety data to identify any Safety Management System blockages that may hinder the successful implementation of the process.

Outcomes/Deliverables
The Readines Assessment helps you become familiar with site concerns, safety management practices, and historical facts so you can customize your process to increase the likelihood of success.  At the end of the assessment, we provide a written report and meet with the management team to discuss findings and plan the way forward.
